Overview

Be charmed into this exquisite slice of coastal life, where lush palms and tropical forests bloom and glorious beach abound. Enjoy the untouched and unspoiled beauty of Seychelles. With spectacular views of the Indian Ocean and native Takamaka trees, luxury resort, Banyan Tree Seychelles is nestled in Intendance Bay, a destination marked for bliss. Take a walk along the beguiling Intendance Bay or soak up archipelago charm within your Creole-style villa.

Banyan Tree Seychelles is set upon the original Seychellian abode belonging to Pink Panther actor Peter Sellers and Beatles member George Harrison. The resort took painstaking steps toward preserving the authenticity of the site's architecture and culture with the aid of island residents, some of who still dedicate their careers to forwarding Banyan Tree Seychelles' mission of providing a Sanctuary for the Senses.

60 Creole-style villas artfully span across a lush plantation setting create a contemporary island culture. The intention was to redefine Seychellois architecture by drawing on colonial French and English designs. Villas are crafted with high, sloping ceilings, airy verandas and louvred doors to exude an air of erstwhile colonialism.

Eclectic villa interiors that include bold touches of ethnic woven textiles and an air of intimacy can be found throughout the resort, beautifully reflecting the bygone plantation lifestyle of easy opulence. Walk through art pieces evocative of the island's legendary Coco-De-Mer, woven textiles steeped in island ethnic history and nauiloidea motifs.

Look out to the majestic Indian Ocean as you laze idly in the splendour of a glorious infinity pool. Complete your leisurely pool experience by quenching your thirst with poolside cocktails or feed your exercise-fuelled hunger with tasty bar snacks. Challenge your technique in a game of tennis in a spectacular surround of glorious Creole sky and verdant greenery.

The tropical calm of the Seychelles beckons to your every sense in a place offering the best of treatments and therapies to recharge your body, soul and spirit. In the beauty of Creole surrounds, seasoned therapists will soothe your heart and body through hands that knead away every stress. Local indigenous ingredients are compressed into perfect poultices to draw all tension out from your body as you repose in perfect rest. An excellently equipped gymnasium featuring every state-of-the-art fitness amenity awaits.

Bring home the little touches that make Banyan Tree unique. With an enchanting collection of handicrafts, resort apparel and signature spa amenities, you will find every item imaginable to relive your Banyan Tree experience in the privacy of your home.

Move with the sway of Creole romance with your beautiful soulmate. Come to Banyan Tree Seychelles and experience the sweep of ocean breeze against your skin while you look out across the azure waters reflecting the sun's warmth like countless jewels.

Review:   Recommended for: Couples

Pros: Possible the most amazing service I've ever experienced. Truly felt like royalty. Gorgeous, pristine beach with almost no one on it--a beach this size in Hawaii would have 10 hotels, each with 1000 guests. The villas are amazing, isolated so that you cannot even see another villa...it's like you're in your own jungle outpost.

Cons: Food and wine is fairly expensive; however, not really any more than at a 5-star Hawaii hotel.

About Google Reviews: recently Google has converted their review system to require reviewers to have a proper, identifiable Google+ profile. This is a good thing, as it tends to cut down on bad reviews, both from people unwilling to stand behind their comments and fake positive reviews from the businesses themselves. Old, pre-Google+ reviews are still in the system, and will appear below as written by "A Google User". More info from Google is here.

Review:   Came here from Shangri la in Mauritius and this place is out of the world. The food is excellent headed by David Andrews and he personally made sure our hunnymoon was extra special by going above and beyond, creating great dinner experiences. Definitely would recommend coming here especially for the food. Thank you.

Review:   BEAUTIFUL hotel! Stunning villas, but food is not great. Lunch menu is the same everyday and other restaurants are limited since the hotel is so far down it's own road.
