Castaway Island, Fiji

Michael Cottam - Bright Yonder

Michael Cottam from Bright Yonder says:
"Terrific for families. Tons of fun things for kids of all ages to do. Lots of choices in the restaurant for both adventurous adults and typically unadventurous kids :-)

Location is great, with quick access to great diving, and a little island nearby for picnicking and snorkeling.

Jean-Michel Cousteau Fiji Islands Resort

Michael Cottam - Bright Yonder

Michael Cottam from Bright Yonder says:
"Superb diving nearby--as you'd expect given the resort's ownership.

They do a really great job of providing educational activities for children and adults alike. They've got a full-time marine biologist on staff. Snorkeling, a reef walk, and eco-tours are all available.

Their Bula Club (for kids) is very well-rated. They've got a freshwater pool, water slide, and tons of interesting educational experiences.

Likuliku Lagoon Resort

Michael Cottam - Bright Yonder

Michael Cottam from Bright Yonder says:
"The only overwater bungalows in Fiji!

Fabulous luxury here...a favorite of honeymooners. Even experienced Fiji specialist travel agents come back from Likuliku impressed.

The location is great too--very close to the Malolo Barrier Reef, which offers terrific diving pretty much year-round. The northern part of Fiji (Savusavu, Vanua Levu, Taveuni) are more famous for diving because of more prolific coral, immense wall dives, etc. but don't discount the Mamanucas and the Malolo Barrier Reef--it's got tons to see, and mostly all pretty shallow and easy diving too.

Namale Fiji Islands Resort and Spa

Joni Stone - J2 Travels

Joni Stone from J2 Travels says:
"THE most ROMANTIC resort in all of Fiji! The accommodations are so lovely, they just take your breath away and make your heart go all pitter patter. A TRUE all inclusive resort with plenty to do in the event of rain (it is the Tropics after all) or nothing at all. Their SPA is the largest and best in all of Fiji, with a large soaking area with floor to ceiling windows. The dining bure can be an occasion for meeting and greeting new friends, pre-dinner or you can request a private dinner for two out on their ocean facing deck. Easy to arrive, heart breaking to leave."

Qamea Resort and Spa

Teresa Nelle - Avenue Two Travel

Teresa Nelle from Avenue Two Travel says:
"Qamea Resort is fantastic! This boutique resort set on its own island is a happpy place! Qamea Resort is adults only, set just a 10 min. boat ride from the tropical island of Taveuni, it will be your oasis for relaxation and pampering at a reasonable price!

You must treat yourself to one of their spa treatments! When I was at Qamea they offered me a facial to try it out - 45 min of someone working on your face! I thought well okay...hmm - it was heaven! In fact when I was getting ready to have one, walking to the spa, 2 men stopped me to rave about the facial they had and wanted it to be clear that they usually don't do that sort of thing but just had to tell me about their amazing experience! Excellent!
