Banyan Tree Seychelles

Michael Cottam - Bright Yonder

Michael Cottam from Bright Yonder says:
"Most amazing, luxurious accommodations I've ever experienced. You're treated like royalty/celebrities from the moment you arrive. The villas are all tucked away in the jungle so you don't see any of the other villas...incredibly private and romantic. The plunge pools are incredible.

Stunning beach, and with so few villas on the property, it's never crowded.

Four Seasons Resort Seychelles at Desroches Island

Michael Cottam - Bright Yonder

Michael Cottam from Bright Yonder says:
"Very cool resort, a bit of a flight from the main islands (200 miles roughly). Giant tortoises live on the island...you'll see them if you take the bicycles (they come with the room) for a ride up the island.

Spectacular service in the restaurant--they'll remember what you take in your coffee by the second morning.

Scuba diving here is intense: the biggest schools of fish I've ever seen. And since you're 200 miles from the nearest other resort island, you're not going to run into another dive boat at any dive site.

If you do a Google image search for "the aquarium seychelles", you'll find my photo of that beach...unbelievable. It's the most popular beach on the island, maybe 1/4 mile long, and when I was there...we were the only ones on the beach.

Lemuria Resort

Michael Cottam - Bright Yonder

Michael Cottam from Bright Yonder says:
"Great all-round resort, with a spectacular location. Restaurant is on a short peninsula that divides the resort's two beaches.

The island (Praslin) also hosts the Vallee de Mai, where the famous Coco de Mer coconut palms grow. Definitely worth a visit--you might see the famous black parrots there too (we did).

One of the most stunning pools I've ever seen anywhere, as well, with a terrific swim-up bar. It's got multiple levels and it's incredible (and uncrowded).
