Google Reviews

About Google Reviews: recently Google has converted their review system to require reviewers to have a proper, identifiable Google+ profile. This is a good thing, as it tends to cut down on bad reviews, both from people unwilling to stand behind their comments and fake positive reviews from the businesses themselves. Old, pre-Google+ reviews are still in the system, and will appear below as written by "A Google User". More info from Google is here.

Review:   The Ritz-Carlton, Aruba is one of the premier hotels on the island of Aruba and it definitely showed during our stay. This isn't to say that there shouldn't be improvements still. The interior decorations are really not that impressive, and could use a modern refresh. Our bed sheets had a pretty noticeable stain on it...for a hotel that is charging ~$500 minimum. That is not what we wanted to see. The levels of friendliness and information given by the staff members varied quite a bit (some being WAYY more helpful and informative than others). On the positive side we were given a free room upgrade when we checked into the Ritz. Then we were welcomed to our upgraded room with a bottle of champagne, fruits, and a beautifully hand-written card thanking us for choosing the Ritz for the stay on our anniversary. Oh and remember those stains on the sheets, I talked about earlier? They were gone the next day and for the rest of our stay. From then on we had nothing but 100% clean white sheets. The live music, free beach rentals, great restaurants, relaxing pool, fun casino, among other things were also very nice touches from the Ritz. I would highly recommend staying at the The Ritz-Carlton, Aruba. It was a wonderful hotel to spend our days in Aruba!

Review:   BE AWARE OF ADDITIONAL FEES AT CLUB LEVEL BOOKINGS!!! Our family of four booked 2 nights for club lounge ocean view room. When we showed up to check in, they made us pay $250 additional for our two boys. They said club lounge only covered 2 people per Room to use the club lounge. They never mentioned this when we booked the room for four. In addition, it doesn’t have a luxury feel at this Ritz-Carlton hotel at all. The beach was crowded with people come 7 a.m. and took all the front rows. The club lounge food was average. The beach was nice with turquoise water. Not impressed overall!!!

Review:   The service is what you pay for and the service on my visit was top notch! Each and every person I came into contact with was very helpful and welcoming! The room service was very accommodating, warmed up our leftovers from outside restaurants, and even split up the tabs as we were on a girls trip! The views from our room were awesome as well! The restaurants in the hotel were awesome, the beach cabana was very reasonably priced, the regular service on the beach was awesome as well!

Review:   Despite the name and price, Ritz-Carlton Aruba didn't really provide anything that the other resorts on the strip couldn't do just as well, if not better. Rooms are $600-$800 per night. The upside of this resort is the service and room care. The staff even know your names sometimes. Anything you need, the service here will have it for you at just about any hour of the day. Rooms are average despite the price and service. Furniture was ok.

Review:   Great service and incredible ocean views. The nightly entertainment is very conservative and usually consists of a guitar player and singer playing in the courtyard. Getting a beach umbrella is almost guaranteed any time of the day which is a sharp contrast to all other hotels I have stayed in (5 others on the island). The spa is unparalleled but expensive. Food is good but there is a limited selection. Food and drinks can be ordered from your beach chair or around the 2 pools - one for over 18 and the family pool! Overall the best hotel I have stayed in period.
