Overview

Overlooking the Caribbean’s most iconic expanses of sand, the award winning Playa Bavaro, with its characteristic palm groves, turquoise waters, stunning mangroves and coral reef, this spacious hotel is the perfect choice for family holidays thanks to its superb facilities and varied entertainment options. The magnificent inviting rooms and exclusive services combined with the outstanding gastronomy served in the restaurants and bars, the fabulous wellness programmes available at the spa, the range of water and land sports and the evening leisure options have rightly positioned this hotel as one of the most popular in this paradisiacal region.

The 744 rooms of the 5-star resort complex are in a privileged setting on the beautiful Bávaro white sand beach and are surrounded by lush tropical gardens. And with installations and services for the whole family.

The resort has a wide selection of restaurants and bars. In true Dominican style, all the bars offer a wide variety of drinks and snacks. The resort's restaurants have everything from traditional Dominican cuisine to Italian and Japanese cuisine. You'll find the main restaurant which offers an international cuisine buffet and à la carte speciality restaurants: Italian, Mexican, Japanese, Fish and Shellfish, Grilled Meat and Mediterranean. Remember that you can enjoy the à la carte restaurants at the Grand Bahia Principe Punta Cana.

At the Grand Bahia Principe Bavaro Hotel you'll always have something to do, go to the Spa, take a walk on the vast white sand beach, enjoy activities in the pool or sports on the beach, spend a day on an outing that you'll remember for your whole life and much more. We also have personnel specialising in child care and children's entertainment, and we offer a wide and varied programme of activities and entertainment to keep the little ones amused.

There are sports and activities at all hours of the day, to enjoy the sun, the sea or the beach, so you won't stop even for a second. Come to our "Scubaquatic" aquatic activities centre and learn catamaran sailing, the wind and windsurfing arts and even have fun on the banana boat with your friends. Each and every one of your activities and favourite sports are here. Find yours.

The country's top golf destination is here, in one of the best spots in the Caribbean. Golf lovers will find, only 5 minutes from the resort complex, the fantastic course designed by Nick Price in the Dominican Republic, at the Punta Blanca Gold Club. Holes: 18.

Review:   It’s a great place to stay.... Staff were friendly caring and pleasant, starting from the reception. Meals are very good and delicious... Rooms are cool n cozy a just a little bit upgrade need to the shower tubs. Well maintained hospitality. I highly recommend the hotel for family vacation ,the great cultures and variety of foods. I would probably choose Bahia Principe hotel next time as I have experience warm welcomes of the staff, excellent service and pleasantness of hotel crew........

Review:   Amazing place. Staff are hard working and very friendly. There's lots to do from morning till night for both adults and children. The hotel rooms are spacious and well equipped. . The hotel is spotless and the grounds are beautiful. There's lots of eateries and the buffet restaurant has a different theme each day. The food is gorgeous and they even have a kiddies buffet. The desserts are out of this world. We had an amazing stay here and would definitely recommend. So sad to leave . Grand Bahia Principe it's been an absolute pleasure your staff are truly amazing.

Review:   This place was very nice. I enjoyed my stay. The buffet food can / should be better. The beach and pool are very nice. Bahia Principe needs more guest activities. The music at night is not enough. Maybe some arts and craft things to do daily. (Painting, or crafting or sewing, etc.. )

Review:   This is a great spot for the price. The rooms are spacious, with a balcony and spa tub. The cleaning crew comes in daily but sometimes even when you have the "do not disturb" sign on so lock the deadbolt. There is a nice buffet near the lobby with lots of food. Most is good but some meat can be a little dry. I wasn't able to visit the a la carte restaurants because they were booked up for any reservations that were more than one person before I got a chance. The beach pool is great because it has a snack bar with good food and drinks that stays open very late. The pools are huge and usually full of kids for the most part but they create an "adult time" for some of the pool features. Also you easily access the beach from the pool, where there are many lounge chairs and umbrellas. At peak times the shuttle carts that bring you to different parts of the resort can get a bit packed so you have to wait a while. Don't be afraid to sit next to strangers or you'll be waiting even longer! Overall I had a lot of fun and there are a lot of things to do. The Village area has a lot of functions including a club, the Casino, theater and a huge Plaza area where they put on performances.
