The Maitai Lapita Village Huahine lies between a lake and the lagoon, on an ancient archaeological site where our Huahinean ancestors once lived, hence the name Lapita Village, referring to those people. This Huahine hotel offers excellent accommodation at a great price, welcoming hospitality, a restaurant and bar, a swimming pool, a multitude of activities and much more.

The Maitai Lapita Village Huahine offers many fantastic places to sit, relax and enjoy the scenery around you. A modern restaurant and bar are available on site and we would be happy to prepare a delicious cocktail or recommend a wine to accompany your meal.

Google Reviews

About Google Reviews: recently Google has converted their review system to require reviewers to have a proper, identifiable Google+ profile. This is a good thing, as it tends to cut down on bad reviews, both from people unwilling to stand behind their comments and fake positive reviews from the businesses themselves. Old, pre-Google+ reviews are still in the system, and will appear below as written by "A Google User". More info from Google is here.

Review:   The lake is stunning, the bungalows are really nice, the service is friendly and overall this hotel is really excellent. The downsides for us were the restaurant (which is overpriced and we got food poisoning) and the fact that we had room service for our laundry which came back smelling of mildew (because they forgot about it and then covered it up by saying that there had been a delay).

Review:   We just popped in for coffee (excellent) and a look and it was a very pleasant experience. We met the potter who has a role here, and he was a delight to talk to. The eating area was directly on the beach. Would have loved to go back and eat there.

Review:   The hotel is a little bit different to the classic polinesian resorts (no overwater bungalows and less luxury) but it's a really good choice if you want to stay some nights in Huahine. Rooms are big and nice, the hotel is quite new, the service is helpful and nice and the restaurant is really good, much better and cheaper than other restaurants of other 5 starts hotels in Polinesia. The hotel has a nice lttle beach and a small swimming pool. The only disadvantage is that there is no free wifi, which seems odd nowadays.
