Bike, Kayak, And Snorkel With NatureExplore > Mexico > Zihuatanejo > Bike, Kayak, And Snorkel With NatureOverviewThis combination of activities is led by a terrific guy who's anxious to show you the best of Ixtapa It was such a pleasure going back to Ixtapa and hooking up with fine guides such as this. We met at his beautiful home, making wonder why we live where we do. We settled down to enjoy a nice visit as we got some background about Pablo, whose background is biology. He's very fit and, although I am not sure it is from his business or because of it, he will take you on a pleasant journey and allow you to see a wonderful part of this destination. You will recognize Pablo, as he will be standing surrounded by bikes. Once you arrive, you will be outfitted with the best equipment. Offroad, 21 speed bikes (3 gears) will be adjusted for you. Don the bike and put on your helmet and you will be ready to go. The bike ride is the first segment of the tour. It is a 4-mile ride along a lovely bike path and full of plants and animals indigenous to this area. It's a great trail and you will travel inside the jungle between the mangroves. A stop at the Observatory is included. Near the end of the ride, you'll walk to see the famous crocodiles at Playa Linda before changing into swimsuits and boarding your kayak. The comfortable sit-on kayaks are easy to handle but, if this is your first time, you will get all the safety and guiding tips you need. You will take a water taxi out to Ixtapa Island. There you will kayak around the island for about 40 minutes. You will also be able to snorkel for an hour at a wonderful coral reef before heading back to shore. Lunch will be waiting for you and fresh grilled fish, ceviche, quesadillas, and sopas will be accompanied by 2 drinks, either soda or beer. This is in addition to purified water supplied throughout the tour. No doubt you will be energized by lunch to return to the starting point on your bike. Wear comfortable clothing. Bring your swimsuit, a towel, a hat, sunscreen, and your camera. Your taxi ride is about $6.00 one way for a taxi for 4 people from Zihuatanejo. Please note that in Ixtapa/Zihuatanejo there is some confusion about ship time vs local time. Please see your purser on your ship to clarify whether your ship changes its time to local time so you do not miss your excursion. As each ship is ruled by its captain, it is your responsibility to confirm this while while you are sailing. We need a minimum of 2 people to run this tour. You must be 10 years old to participate. Days offered: Tuesday, Thursday, Saturday Departures:
