Panoramic Town And Garden Tour With Beach StopExplore > Saint Kitts and Nevis > Saint Kitts > Panoramic Town And Garden Tour With Beach StopOverviewA favorite island--friendly, interesting, scenic, and tropical--as is this tour. St. Kitts has always been one of our favorite islands in the Caribbean. Its tough conservation laws do not allow any structures taller than the palm trees. Vervet monkeys outnumber humans by more than two to one. Unexplored shipwrecks number in the hundreds. And, although this island sees over 150,000 tourists a year, it remains sweetly remote and without the glitz of many other destinations. When we are on St. Kitts, we feel like we are truly traveling. This tour includes: • Round trip transportation • Sightseeing tour Visit/see: • Basseterre, including The Circus • Bloody Point • Old Road Town • Carib Petroglyphs • Wingfield Estate • Caribelle Batik • Frigate Bay (2-hour beach stop) Although small in size, St. Kitts is an island where you can feel the past. Historic Basseterre will be our first stop and this capital holds the center of city life--The Circus. As you round Independence Square and Liverpool Row, you'll see the now-rebuilt colonial buildings with their historic presence and hear about their background. Moving on to the coastal road, which is the island's main road, you'll head towards Bloody Point, where your imagination will spin while the tale is told, and into Old Road Town. This is where the English first settled and established their first town. Nearby you will stop at the Carib Petroglyphs, the remains of the Ameridian civilization. This also brings you to the Wingfield Estate and their beautiful gardens. Enjoy the creativity of St. Kitts' artists as you tour Caribelle Batik, where you can watch the process of batik and pick up a true souvenir of the island. As you return by way of Frigate Bay, you'll have a lovely two-hour beach stop. Dig your toes in the sand and soak up the sun's warm rays. You'll be returned to the cruise ship pier with a little tan after a great day of discovery. • We suggest that you bring your swimsuit, a towel, sunscreen, and your camera.
