Montpelier Plantation has been meticulously restored in keeping with its heritage. It is a sanctuary of beauty far from the stresses of modern life. Set in a sixty-acre estate 750 feet up in the hills of Nevis, the hotel has 19 rooms – all with sea views and a private beach is a short ride away.

Our luxury rooms and suites are designed with a light touch and sense of intimacy. The hotel's Plantation style allow you to move effortlessly between the indoors and outdoors. All rooms have air-conditioning as well as the naturally cooling Trade Winds.

Amenities for our villas include flat screen TV, iPod docking stations, complimentary WiFi hot spots and in-room Nespresso machines.

We take pride in using local fruits, vegetables, poultry and fish whenever possible. This is part of our commitment to developing and preserving Nevis. Wherever you choose to dine at Montpelier you will find an ambiance infused with island grace.

Start your day with all the delights of the Caribbean: fresh fruits, homemade yoghurt and jams, hot out of the oven breads complimented by local eggs and bacon. As you relax in the afternoon, lunch and afternoon tea is served pool side. We are happy to prepare a gourmet picnic for you to have at the beach or to take with you to enjoy as you discover the island.

Service is personable and discreet. We take great pride in making sure every guest's stay is just right for them. While you unwind at Montpelier we will help you make your leisure time creative and your quiet time productive.

Our family had a vision to create a hotel that encapsulates the very best of hotels that we have had the pleasure of staying in. We are passionate in creating a hotel that is personal, unique and intimate enough so that each guest is treated as a person, not a room number.

Montpelier offers both a historical setting in the mountains as well as a private Caribbean beach, not the stereotypical seaside resort. History and nature surround you in the mountains, while seclusion and privacy find you at our beach. Re-energise during the day - swim, bike or just relax - but when the sun sets, step back in time to a simpler way of life . . . really how things should be.

What type of person stays at Montpelier? People that believe trying new experiences are what life is allabout. Guests that are sophisticated yet fun, happy to relax, or take a walk and explore the hidden gems that the island has to offer. Of course they are food lovers that appreciate gourmet cuisine infused with Caribbean flavours. Our guests have a similar mind set rather than simply a demographic. Who are we? When we are not at the hotel you will find us out on the water, exploring the island, and spending time with our family and friends. We appreciate art for its unique aspects and how each person responds to it in different ways. Art awakens the mind and inner expressions. You can love it or hate it, but it still evokes an emotion that can lead you in any direction. It is not aboutalways understanding art but what you feel how and when you see it each day.
