The Siam - The Siam. Copyright The Siam.

The Siam was conceived by creative director and celebrity Krissada Sukosol Clapp, together with globally acclaimed architect and interior/landscape designer Bill Bensley, one of Architectural Digest’s ‘Top 100 Designers and Most Creative People’.

Vision

When Krissada inherited a piece of prime riverside land, he was instantly inspired to build a hotel there to house his substantial collection of antiques. Knowing the property had to stand out he brought Bill Bensley on board. Kriss explains, ‘Bill is entirely original.

This shines through in all of his projects, they have character. I love distinct details. Bill and his team understand exactly how to pull these together into a larger work of art.’

Google Reviews

About Google Reviews: recently Google has converted their review system to require reviewers to have a proper, identifiable Google+ profile. This is a good thing, as it tends to cut down on bad reviews, both from people unwilling to stand behind their comments and fake positive reviews from the businesses themselves. Old, pre-Google+ reviews are still in the system, and will appear below as written by "A Google User". More info from Google is here.

Review:   The architecture is exquisite. Each space in the hotel has its own unique "feel" - the relaxing center courtyard for waiting for your spa treatment, the bath house, the outdoor restaurant alongside the river, the library, the lovely space where we did yoga and qigong that overlooks the garden. Each room has unique Thai artwork and artifacts, making a visit a wonderful discovery. You might feel as if you are in a novel. Although the hotel is built recently, it has an old world feel to it. I have never experienced a more magical hotel! The gardens are love. Spa treatments are excellent and the restaurant had delicious food in a lovely atmosphere. I did not stay at the hotel but experienced workshops and lunch there on two occasions. I highly recommend it. And taking the water taxi to the hotel was also a special experience.

Review:   Never in my life after traveling and staying in resorts and hotels around the world have seen any hotel resort like this. It's truly a hidden gem in the heart of BKK. Offers river views from the pool side, private boat rides to catch the sunset over the river, has its own dock, the hotel decoration has priceless pieces on display, a private cinema, villas with 24/7 butlers, kickboxing gym, absolutely a luxurious feeling when visiting there. A place for high profile and affluent guest, privacy is protected.

Review:   Very chic and upscale. Love the decor. Has convenient, free boat taxi service. Service was top notch. Unfortunately I didn't have enough time to try the amenities.

Review:   The most exquisite experience. The butlers make it so enjoyable, booking every thing and planning our holiday for us. Whenever we ask for something, they will have it printed out, written nicely, and personally share it with us. For eg when we wanted to order some food delivery , they even printed out the restaurant's menu in colour so that we can see what we r choosing. Then they delivered it to our room and specially arranged for tables and chairs with complimentary rice on the house! A definitely must-stay

Review:   A beautiful hotel, which is like a museum. One drink you must try at the lobby coffee shop--"Elephant Sang". Brilliant ceremony at the table, and has excellent aroma with flavor that matures as it seat for a few minutes!
