Overview
Sirikoi is a spectacular game lodge situated on private land and surrounded by the Lewa Wildlife Conservancy, on the northern slopes of Mount Kenya. Set in a shady acacia grove and overlooking a natural waterhole fed from a mountain spring, Sirikoi offers some of the best game viewing in East Africa.
Evening sundowners with amazing views of distant mountain ranges, delicious meals served under the stars next to a roaring fire and the sounds of animals in camp late at night are just a small part of this magical experience. A wide range of activities are offered, including helicopter and bi-plane trips, horseback riding, bush walks and picnics, and visits to a local Maasai community.
You can also enjoy the beauty and solitude of remote and rarely visited destinations in Kenya by flying from Sirikoi to our luxury mobile camp for a night or two.
Offering unparalleled hospitality in breathtaking surroundings, Sirikoi is one of the most outstanding lodges in Kenya, where you will be part of a unique African adventure.
Sirikoi was designed and built by Willie who has run tailor-made safaris throughout East Africa for over thirty years. In creating Sirikoi, his aim was to provide guests with a private and unique camp that combines luxurious comfort and unmatched wildlife viewing.
At Sirikoi the spacious living and dining area, infinity swimming pool and veranda deck are set within extensive lawns, scattered acacia trees and overlooking a natural waterhole where wild animals frequently visit to wallow and drink.
The camp has four luxury tents, each built on a platform with a private veranda overlooking the waterhole, a living area with a fireplace and an elegant bathroom with a Victorian bath and a shower. There are two further traditional tents with en-suite showers.
A secluded two-bedroom cottage, made from wood, thatch and stone and with a large deck area is situated in a private corner of the camp, near the wetlands where elephant and buffalo are regular visitors. The cottage has its own kitchen, dining room and living space so that you can be totally independent of the lodge if you so wish.
Sirikoi also has a self-contained three-bedroom house that can sleep up to six people in stunning style and comfort. It has its own kitchen, dining room and living spaces. Guests also have their own driver and guide.
Fantastic views of distant mountain ranges and a beautiful backdrop of snow-capped Mount Kenya provide a perfect setting for game drives and bush walks.
Lewa Wildlife Conservancy has a huge variety of wildlife with over 70 different species of mammal. There are roughly equal numbers of black and white rhino – at the latest count there were 65 black and 46 white. The world's largest concentration of the endangered Grevy zebra resides on Lewa as well as elephant, buffalo, greater kudu, oryx, lion, leopard and cheetah amongst many other mammal species.
The Conservancy is teeming with birdlife with over 350 species across the diverse topography which includes rolling open plains, hills and kopjes, thick forest, valleys, escarpments, wetlands and rivers.
