Following a pickup from the pier by your certified Tour Guide, find your self winding through the beautiful Costa Rican countryside on an air-conditioned vehicle that will bring you to the land where the sloths reign. Along the way to your first destination your guide will point out many interesting sites along the way until you reach Cahuita National Park. Your search for the adorable sloths begins here. This little gem follows along the coast at the southern edge of Cahuita town. Originally, Cahuita National Park was created to preserve the 787 acre coral reef that lies just off the shore. Today, it is known for it's white-sand beach, perfectly lined up coconut palm trees, rich forest landscape and the local wildlife. It is here that many sloths are in their natural habitat and it's the best opportunity to learn all things sloth. After Cahuita, you will continue your search for this adorable animal by taking a boat tour on the Tortuguero Canal. During this relaxing journey, keep your eyes peeled for more wildlife opportunities. Sloth's love to live close to the rivers and sometimes they hang out in the branches of the trees only a few meters away from the boat. Being this close, you can get some incredible pictures to show your adventures in Costa Rica. Pura Vida or bust! - Please note that in Costa Rica there is some confusion about ship time vs. local time. Please see your purser on your ship to clarify whether your ship changes its time to local time so you do not miss your excursion. Also check the daily itinerary which is delivered the evening before arriving into port. As each ship is ruled by its captain, it is your responsibility to confirm this while while you are sailing. - Sorry, this trip does not operate on Christmas Day. - This tour is certified as an Environmental and sustainable tour. We will do our best to show you the Costa Rican wildlife in a respectful manner that does not support animals in cages, but in their natural habitat. Days offered: 7 days a week Departures:
