Private Undiscovered Lisbon Food TourExplore > Portugal > Lisbon > Private Undiscovered Lisbon Food TourOverviewDive deep into Portuguese cuisine and culture and you'll leave feeling like a well-fed local! Dive deep into Portuguese cuisine and culture on this culinary walk that takes you to the historical heart of Lisbon and birthplace of fado music. With its Neoclassical architecture, designer boutiques and cobbled streets lined with bars and restaurants – Baixa is the historical center and commercial heart of Lisbon. Just a short walk away, Mouraria is Lisbon’s most multicultural neighborhood and the birthplace of fado music. As one of only two districts to survive the great earthquake of 1755, Mouraria offers layers of history and a rare snapshot of local life. One thing both neighborhoods have in common today, is that they’re home to some of the city’s tastiest food! On this 3.5 hour culinary tour, we take you away from the crowds to the traditional restaurants that are loved and frequented by the locals themselves. As you walk the backstreets of Baixa and Mouraria, your local guide will regale you with fascinating facts and stories about the sights you pass – giving you a much more meaningful understanding of the city than you’ll get from the guidebooks. Discover the local’s favorite hangover food. Sit down for pesticos at a cozy tasca (traditional tavern). Enjoy authentic food and culture at our favorite fado house. Not only will you try typical Portuguese dishes, you’ll also discover some surprising international influences on the country’s cuisine. You will also get VIP access to a Michelin stared chef at a local Fado house, with a food tasting made exclusively for you! - This is a private walking tour, with some cobblestone streets.
