Discover one of the most beautiful cities in Sicily, surrounded by the calm blue waters of the Ionic sea. Begin your tour through Syracuse in the oldest part of the city, Ortigia, where you’ll see architectural remains dating back centuries to Greek and Roman times. Experience the Cathedral of Syracuse then walk to Archimedes square where the Diana fountain still remains. The fountain is named after the famous mathematician and physician Archimedes. Next, make the stroll along Alfeo Promenade to admire the old city wall, made by the order of the last Spanish king. Continue your trip to the new part of Syracuse called Neapolis where you can stand on Umbertino’s bridge to get a dazzling view of Temple of Apollo, one of the oldest temples in Sicily. Stop at Planeta Buonivini Winery in Noto which features some of the best wines in Sicily as well as a breathtaking vineyard on the countryside. End your day with a trip to Caffè Sicilia and order a mouthwatering treat. Caffè Sicilia has been featured on popular documentary series Chef’s Table. - Wine tasting and lunch at Planeta Buonivini Winery is included in the tour cost. - A stop will be made at Caffè Sicilia if you wish, though it is not included in the tour cost. - Entrance fees to Parco Archaeological will cost about 10€ per person. - Winery Buonivini is open March-October and closed on Sundays.
