This tour of Salalah begins with one of the true highlights of the area, the UNESCO World Heritage site Al Balid Archaeological Park. Al Balid was the region’s primary settlement from the 8th-16th century. Set against a beautiful Indian Ocean background, this open-air site features the ancient city’s defensive walls, trenches, and mosque. Right nearby is the Frankincense Museum, which maritime trade and traditions since Your day will start at the archaeological site of Al Balid Archaeological Park, a UNESCO heritage site, which displays a vivid illustration of the Reg ion's archaeology(OpenedSun-Thu8:30-20:00, Fri–Sat15:00–20:00). After historical part, you will have a chance to visit garden Farms, which groves coconut, banana, papaya and vegetables. Make a brief stop to taste a fresh coconut waterdrink at fruit stalls (at own cost) lining the streets within the periphery of the old Salalah town (Haffah) and a photo stop to the beautiful Sultan Grand Mosque with its exquisite artwork and stained tiles. View the Official Palace of His Majesty the Sultan - Al Husn Palace & stroll through the oldHaffahsouq,famous for the sale of high-quality Frankincense & numerous other Dhofari traditional souvenirs. - Modest dress is required when visiting the mosque. All guests must wear long pants or long dresses (no shorts). Women will need a shawl to cover their heads. All guests must remove their shoes before entering the mosque.
