OverviewThis unforgettable island tour will show you the best of Kauai! Your tour operators were born and raised on the island and will share their knowledge about local history, legends, and trivia during this unforgettable island tour. You'll be introduced to the best of "The Garden Isle" during this awesome sightseeing tour of Kauai. After leaving the harbor, our first stop will be at Menehune (Alekoko) Fish Pond. According to Hawaiian legend, the Menehune (Hawaii's mischievous little people) built this entire fishpond in one night. Archeologists say the pond was formed more than 1,000 years ago. Next, it's on to Wailua Falls, a breathtaking 80-foot cascade of water. This is the site where they filmed the beginning of Fantasy Island. We'll then head to the northernmost point in Hawaii--the scenic and historic Kilauea Point Lighthouse and National Wildlife Refuge. This may be your favorite location of the entire day, with its impressive views and great seabirds. At the Hanalei Valley Overlook, you'll have the opportunity to take some once-in-a-lifetime photos as you marvel at the view of the valley below with its taro fields bisected by the Hanalei River. We'll visit another beautiful cascading waterfall, Opeaka'a Falls, before making our final stop at the Wailua River Overlook. Hawaii's largest river flows beneath you as you take in the awe-inspiring backdrop of picturesque Hawaiian mountains and valleys. - Kilauea Point National Wildlife Refuge Center is open Tuesday-Saturday and closed on Federal Holidays. There is an additional entrance fee of $10.00 for anyone age 16 or over, those under 16 are free. - Please note you will have to take a short shuttle to meet your driver.
