A drive through Apia, the capital city of Samoa will provide you with a taste of the town's historic sites, including the Parliament House, the Independence Monument, the German Monument (a tribute to the time Samoa was a German possession) and Mulinu'u, the sacred burial grounds of Chiefly families. Your guide's extensive knowledge about his city's history will enhance each site you visit.
Next, take one of the most scenic drives on the island along Fagaloa Bay. Its breathtaking mountains, cascading waterfalls, and numerous villages nestled along the coast are straight out of a picture postcard. Stop at Fagoloa Lookout for truly spectacular views.
It wouldn't be Samoa without a visit to a beach and Lalomanu Beach, which is often considered one of the best beaches in the world, will exceed your expectations. Beautiful soft white sand, vibrant blue water, and calm seas provide the perfect spot to take a dip or relax on the beach for about 30 minutes.
The stellar Aga Reef Resort, offering a creative menu featuring fresh, local cuisine, is the perfect backdrop for an alfresco lunch.
After lunch, your guide will head to To Sua Ocean Trench, a natural swimming hole, accessible via a 100' ladder. Take advantage of this refreshing, unique opportunity. You won't regret it!
Your next destination is the spectacular Sopoaga Waterfall and is worth the stop all on its own. But as an added bonus, you'll see a demonstration of coconut cream making, as well as traditional cooking on rocks, both true cultural events.
