Private: Ine Fisherman Village By Electric BikeExplore > Japan > Maizuru > Private: Ine Fisherman Village By Electric BikeOverviewThis quaint, little seaside village will surely transport you back in time! Discover the quiet village of Ine, nestled north of Kyoto Prefecture, whose charm is refreshingly unique. Ine village is one of the birthplaces of traditional Japanese fishing although in this small town, fisherman still live out traditional lives in present day. Hugged by the pacific ocean, Ine boasts unparalleled architecture, the most popular being funaya houses. Only found in this area in Japan, funaya houses are built on the seafront with boat garages as lower floors. Fisherman work on their boats below their homes while their families live on the upper level. The people here live their lives in coexistence with the sea, with their main activities centered around fishing and farming. You will be able to enjoy the original Japanese landscape that has yet to be turned into a tourist attraction. Once your driver and guide pick you up, you will explore Ine village via electric bicycle. After truly experiencing Ine's traditional culture, a local boat will take you to the other side of the village, where you can cycle around. Don't miss this chance to stop by a local farm to pick up fresh vegetables, with the help of your guide, and then exploring a fresh seafood market before heading off to lunch.
