Private: Halifax City Tour And Visit To Peggy's CoveExplore > Canada > Nova Scotia > Private: Halifax City Tour And Visit To Peggy's CoveOverviewImmerse yourself in the history of the Titanic and the sinking that overshadowed it! During this private tour, you'll become acquainted with the city of Halifax before we explore the famous Peggy's Cove. This tour begins with the highlights of Halifax, the largest city east of Montreal and the capital of Nova Scotia. Founded in 1749 to protect British interests in North America, Halifax is steeped in maritime history. Your guide will enlighten you to the fascinating history as you travel through the area. After we've explored Halifax, you'll enjoy a 45-minute drive along the scenic coastal route to Peggy's Cove. You'll stop at one of Canada's most visited places, Peggy's Point Lighthouse, perched high on wave-washed boulders on the edge of the ocean. The quaint, active fishing village attracts thousands of tourists each year. - Please note: All tour times are local port times. - Please be aware that some ships do not adjust to local time when in port. Halifax is on Atlantic time, so the local time may be +1 hour from ship time. Please double check with your cruise line. Best reference is your daily newsletter delivered to your cabin for port time information or your ships guest relations desk. - The exact route and itinerary will vary according to the weather and traffic. - This tour includes short walks on unpaved trails, with occasional uneven ground and the possibility of small wet spots. Wear comfortable walking shoes. - Nova Scotia has a maritime climate, producing weather that is changeable, cool, and moist. Temperatures on this trip will rarely exceed 75 F (25 C) and may be much cooler in the autumn. It is usually breezy (or windy) along the coast. The cancellation policy on this tour is outside the normal ShoreTrips terms of service. The tour is non refundable 14 days prior to the tour date. Further, if your ship does not make port, this tour will be non-refundable. Please take out travel insurance to cover this rare occurrence. This tour will NOT be refundable in cases in which conditions make it impossible for the ship to dock and disembark passengers in a timely manner. - Groups of 4 or less will have a driver/guide (same person). Larger groups will have a driver and a guide. - Gratuity is included in the price of this program. - Entrance fees are not included in this program. Your guide cannot enter the Maritime Museum - there are guides at the museum who handle all visitors. Days offered: 7 days a week Departures:
