Reykjavik is the only capital city in Western Europe that is not home to a Starbucks or a McDonald's. This is just one of the things that makes Iceland unique. On this walking tour, we'll explore everything that makes this city one of a kind.
There's no better way to get acquainted with a city than to explore it by foot. We’ll begin with a visit to many of the famous landmarks in the city center, including the Harpa Concert Hall, Reykjavik Harbor, Hallgrímskirkja Church, Reykjavik Pond and the Parliament building.
As we explore the city of Reykjavik, we'll discuss Icelandic mythology and even make a stop at the home of an Huldufólk (elf). In addition to the classic highlights, we'll make sure to walk to unique sites that are only familiar to locals. When the tour concludes, you'll feel at home in the quirky city.
- Total distance walked is approximately 2.5 miles. We suggest wearing comfortable shoes and dressing in layers.
- You may either walk or take a taxi from the cruise pier, the walk is about 30 minutes. More information will be on your voucher.
- This tour requires a minimum of 2 participants. The maximum group size is 12.
- While there are no snacks included with the tour, you will be visiting places where appetizers and small dishes are available for an additional charge.
- Book early in order to avoid the disappointment of sell-outs. Please note we may have alternative tour options at a higher cost.
