Bring your sense of adventure as we are headed to Tasmania's oldest National Park, Mt. Field, home to a few of Tasmania's "Great Short Walks". Throughout the day we will experience rainforests, waterfalls, wildlife - all in the most stunning scenery. After a drive into the park, we will make our way to Tasmania's most beautiful waterfall - the tiered Russell Falls. The hike to the falls follows a quiet stream through the rainforest - setting a tranquil mood for the beauty about to be revealed! If you're feeling like putting in some extra effort, you'll be rewarded with enchanting views of Horseshoe falls after making the extra climb. Further into the park, enjoy a second hike through a valley of Tasmanian giant trees known as the Tall Trees Track. These tall trees reach 265 feet - towering overhead and magnificent to walk among. We'll take a break to enjoy lunch in the park - a stop will be made in the morning so you can purchase something or pack your own. On the return, we'll stop at Bonorong Wildlife Park providing the opportunity to get up close and personal with some of Tasmania's most infamous wildlife including Tasmanian Devils, wombats, and wallabies. All in all this wilderness, waterfalls, and wildlife experience will show case the best Tasmania has to offer! - You will spend approximately 3 hours at Mt. Field National Park. - Entrance fees are included in the tour cost. - Food and beverages are not included in the tour cost. We will make a stop to purchase a take away lunch or you may bring your own food/snacks. We recommend bringing a water bottle. - The drive to Mt. Field National Park is approximately 90 minutes each way. - Wear good walking/easy hiking shoes. - We recommend dressing in layers and bringing a rain jacket as the weather may change without notice. - Sunscreen and sun protection are recommended. - This tour requires a minimum of 2 participants. There is a maximum of 20 guests per departure. - You must be at least 5 years old to participate. - This tour is not suitable for limited mobility travelers, or those with trouble walking. - Total walking is about 2 miles. From Russel Falls, you will have the option to climb the stairs to Horseshoe Falls. Days offered: 7 days a week Departures:
