Located in the heart of Colombia, Bogotá is an up and coming travel destination. Don't miss seeing this gorgeous city surrounded by rolling hills.
Explore the bustling streets of Colombia's capital city. We'll begin with a walk through "La Candelaria", a historic neighborhood in downtown Bogotá. As we walk through this quarter, you'll feel as though you've been transported back in time. Here, Spanish Colonial and Baroque style homes and churches stand along cobblestone streets. We'll stroll along and admire the universities, libraries and museums that make up this gorgeous neighborhood.
We'll make our way to "Plaza Bolivar", the main square, and admire the various government buildings that stand around the square. While we're in this area, we'll discuss the fascinating history of Bogotá.
Once we're done walking through this charming area, we'll make our way to the famous Gold Museum. This museum contains nearly 34,000 pieces of gold, in addition to 20,000 bone, stone, ceramic and textile pieces.
Our final stop will be to the Fernando Botero Museum, which contains work from this famous Colombian painter and sculptor.
