This is a day with no regrets. You will have seen the highlights in and outside of the city, from below and from above. It's perfect! This interesting tour is a must for first time visitors to Kuala Lumpur. During your day the magic of this city will be unveiled to you, showing you the beauty and charm of the old and new Kuala Lumpur, also called the Garden City of Light. Malaysia's biggest city, is also relatively young as it evolved from a small town in the mid-1800s to a center for financial and commercial business. From the port you will take a drive into the Klang Valley, where the city sits protected. The attractions and highlights are many and some warrant a photo stop, others such as the National Monument, the National Museum, the Sultan Abdul Samad Building and the Tudor styled Cricket Club will be part of your view while listening to the history as you pass. At the King's Palace and the National Mosque, stop and take in the views as well as some photos. Now you have become familiar with this bustling city and its history, your guide will take you to the world renowned Petronas Twin Towers. The ride up and the walk across the Skybridge and visit to the Observation deck is one of the biggest draws of the city. The towers soar to a height of 1,483 ft and is 88 stories. It is internationally recognized symbol of modern Malaysia and designed by the famous architect Cesar Pelli. You will see the city in its entirety from here as you walk the glass walkway across. Be enthralled with the works of nature at the Batu Caves limestone temple and the animals that inhabit it. Batu Caves – a towering limestone outcropping just a few miles north of Kuala Lumpur. The caves house numerous Hindu shrines and is one of the most famous attractions in Kuala Lumpur. You will have the option of taking 272 steps to reach the top where you can admire the limestone formations and watch devotees pay homage to their respective deities. Next, proceed to Open Air Bazaar of Chinatown – a well-known bargain hunter’s paradise, a place where you can find all sorts of stuff from Chinese herbs to imitation goods. Dinner is included and will be served at a local restaurant. After dinner, proceed to Menara Kuala Lumpur (Kuala Lumpur Tower in Malay). Experience the lives of metropolitan city, breathtaking sunset and unforgettable night views of the city below. - Shorts, short pants or short skirts are not permitted in the Batu Caves. - We suggest you wear lightweight, comfortable clothing, and flat, closed-toe shoes. - Please note there is surcharge pricing for all National and New Year holidays as well as peak season. Contact ShoreTrips with any questions. - The drive from Kelang to Kuala Lumpur is approximately 2 hours each way. - This tour requires an extensive amount of walking for approximately 1.2 miles (about two kilometres), with a few steps to negotiate to get on/off the coach, 272 steps up and again down at the Batu Cave (optional). This tour is not suitable for guests who are claustrophobic, guests with limited mobility and those who utilise a wheelchair. - We strongly advise you to leave valuable items (money, passport, credit cards, jewelry) in your hotel or ship safe.
