Mangrove Paddle On Beef IslandExplore > Virgin Islands (British) > Tortola > Mangrove Paddle On Beef IslandOverviewWhether you choose to kayak or stand up paddle - you'll have a day to remember. Because the mangroves are a protected area and untouched by man, there's an excellent chance to see some awesome sea creatures during this excursion! You will begin this magical mangrove adventure at a secluded beach where you will choose whether you'd like to stand up paddle board or kayak in a double kayak. If you're new to stand up paddle boarding, this is an excellent place to learn due of the relaxed nature of this excursion. After you have chosen your means of exploration, we will begin to paddle our way over a gorgeous coral reef. After a short while, we will reach the entrance of the mangrove lagoon - which is another world completely! This area is known as the "nursery of the sea" and we will learn why the creatures that reside here are so essential to coral reefs, oceans and even human beings. As we meander our way through the nooks and crannies of the mangroves, we will be on the lookout for wildlife. Because the water is crystal clear and fairly shallow, it's easy to spot our sea creature friends - baby stingrays and sharks, barracuda, trunk fish, turtles, jellyfish and more! There's no hurry as we explore the mangroves, so feel free to grab snorkel gear and jump in the water at any point during the tour to get a close up view to the life beneath the water. A short paddle upwind will bring us back to the starting point. - Transportation to the meeting location is not included for hotel guests. Specific instructions will appear on your voucher. - Life jackets are available. - You are able to choose whether you want to kayak or paddle board. Please note that on windy days the operator may suggest that kayaking is the better option. - We recommend bringing sunscreen as well as a hat, sunglasses, and a water bottle. - This tour requires a minimum of 4 to operate. Days offered: 7 days a week Departures:
