There is so much to see in Stockholm! We suggest that you do a little research on this wonderful city and then collaborate with your guide to make the most of your time and set the best itinerary for what you want to see and do.
This excursion is the way to go if you have a checklist of must-see sites in Stockholm!
The decision about where to go and what to do is entirely up to you, however, you'll have a knowledgeable guide by your side to facilitate, educate, and make suggestions, if you like.
The Vasa MuseumThe Vasa is the only remaining 17th century ship in the world, and the biggest single object that's ever been preserved. More than 700 sculptures adorn the Vasa, which was the mightiest warship of its time. A nice add-on to visiting the Vasa Museum could be a short guided walk of Old Town, with a photo stop at Fjällgatan viewpoint.
Bergianska TrädgårdenBeing a tourist doesn't necessarily mean that you want to spend your entire holiday with other tourists. The tranquil Bergius Botanical Garden is a favorite place for locals to escape the stresses of modern-day life. It features a Japanese pond, herb gardens, beautiful lakeside walking paths, cafés, and two conservatories with exotic plants (such as the world's largest water lily) from the South African deserts, Australia, the tropics, and the Mediterranean. This is a great option for garden lovers.
MillesgårdenThe former home and studio of master sculptor Carl Milles is a high point, both literally and figuratively. Sculptures, gardens, and glittering vistas aside, Millesgården is also the place to catch a glimpse of the organ reputedly played by Mozart's father, as well as art attributed to Donatello, Clouet, and Canaletto.
KulturhusetThe "House of Culture" is the capital's cultural hub with interesting events--such as theatre performances, concerts, exhibitions, debates, and lectures--all year round. During the summer, visit the 700 square meter roof terrace, Stockholmsterrassen, for drinks, lunch, and/or dinner.
Old TownExplore historic Stockholm! Experience the medieval intimacy of Gamla Stan, Stockholm’s oldest and coziest quarter. Here, you'll witness the historic elegance of the exterior of the incredible Royal Palace, combined with the possibility to stroll along the narrow, twisting alleys and cobblestone streets. Check out the bohemian atmosphere and gorgeous old houses dating from the 16th and 17th centuries.
