"Fly" on a smooth cushion of air over water and land for the experience of a lifetime.
This is a vessel like no other. Riding on a cushion of air, this hovercraft provides not just a smooth ride on the water but will actually move right onto shore. No need to get your feet wet or climb onto a pier. Just step out onto the beach.
Hovering 20 inches above the water is as fun a way as I can think of to get to a secluded Alaskan beach. As you begin your "flight", your experienced pilot will explain the workings of this remarkable vessel and why it's an eco-friendly way to travel.
Upon arrival at the beach, you'll transition from water to land with your pilot bringing the hovercraft to rest right on the sand. Capture a video of this remarkable feat to share with your friends at home.
Take some time to look for wildlife, enjoy the seclusion and the scenery or stroll the beach while searching for sea glass or shells.
As we "hover" back to town, your pilot/guide will cruise along the coast, viewing Pennock Island and Creek Street in Ketchikan while providing information about Saxman Native Village, the Coast Guard Base and life in Ketchikan.
