Zipline, Horseback Ride And Organic Farm ExperienceExplore > Costa Rica > Guanacaste > Zipline, Horseback Ride And Organic Farm ExperienceOverviewGet ready for an adrenaline rush, exciting adventures and a ton of fun, all surrounded by nature. Zipping, swinging, riding, sliding and gliding. Saddle up! Upon arrival at this adventure/nature park, the day begins with a horseback ride (or for non-riders, a tractor-drawn wagon ride). Your trusty steed will provide smooth transport through lush forested trails. Keep your eyes open for some of the local fauna such as deer, armadillos, raccoons, anteaters and tropical birds. Our destination is the forest canopy. Here you have the choice of continuing with the horseback ride back to the starting point or participating in the zip line canopy tour. If you choose the zip line, you'll be fitted with all the essential equipment and safety gear and receive instruction from your knowledgeable guide. The canopy tour consists of 11 platforms of varying height, allowing for different vantage points as you glide over trees and the Tizate River. For the really adventurous, you'll want to try the Tarzan Swing, located on the top of a cliff almost 80 feet above the forest. Time to get wet! Your guide will take you to the top of perhaps the longest water slide you have ever seen. For non-stop fun, climb into your inner tube, don your helmet and glide down this 1,300 foot water slide, leading to a pool where you're sure to make a splash. After all this activity, it's time to soothe those tired muscles in a rich volcanic mud bath or wade in the hot springs. Enjoy the 115 degree pool, guaranteed to melt your troubles away. We're sure you're more than ready for lunch and we provide a gourmet meal at the on-site restaurant, showcasing organic produce harvested from their garden. And finally, a tour of the organic farm that produced part of our lunch is in order. Practicing sustainable farming methods, the farm grows a wide variety of plants, including tomatoes, radishes, pineapple, mango and peanuts. We'll see livestock raised here and learn how animals are used to assist the farmers with everyday tasks. - Bring sunglasses, sunblock, a hat, insect repellent and a waterproof camera. - Wear long pants and closed shoes for horseback riding. - Bring or wear your swimsuit, water shoes and a change of clothing for the slide, hot springs and mud bath. - Please bring a credit card for purchasing snacks on the way to and from the park, spending money and incidentals. - YOU MUST BRING A COPY OF YOUR PASSPORT AND A PHOTO ID WITH YOU. - Pricing is based on the number of people in your party, though this is NOT a private tour. This is due to transportation costs from the different hotels. - YOU MUST BRING A COPY OF YOUR PASSPORT AND A PHOTO ID WITH YOU. - This activity is considered of moderate intensity. - Those with heart, neck or back problems are not able to participate in horseback riding or ziplining. - The maximum weight to ride horses or participate in ziplining is 300 pounds. - Pregnant women are allowed to participate but must do the ziplining with a guide. - Children might be paired with an adult on the horseback ride and ziplining, based on age, height and weight and will be determined by the guide at the time of the tour.
