Review:   We just returned from spending a full week at Grand Velas, and it was without a doubt one of the greatest experiences that we have ever had. The food, the drinks, the service were all phenomenal. Our personal concierge, Alondra, was the sweetest most caring person and never let us go a half a day without making sure we had everything we need.... including many special touches of her own (request here if you ever have the chance). The place might seem a little pricey..... but I'm telling you that it is worth every penny... and we will be going back... soon

Review:   This is a beautiful resort and the staff is extremely welcoming and friendly. The cherry on top is the quality of the meals at the restaurants. The food is nearly Michelin star quality. I recommend this resort, especially for food oriented people. One clarification, for people considering visiting is the tipping situation. If you are a guest at the resort, then the meals and the tips are already covered. The restaurants are also visited by non-guests. For that reason a bill is provided at the end of each meal. As a guest, you sign it, and a tip is not required. If you were not a resort guest, then you'd tip appropriately. The bringing of the check at the end of the meal is not an effort to squeeze you for a tip. It's just a book keeping necessity due to serving non-resort guests in the restaurants. Grand Velas guys: correct me if I'm wrong.

Review:   The good news is the rooms are very nice. Spacious, well appointed, new and clean. The bad news is the service. Staff seemed very inexperienced and there was, at times, language problems if you do not speak Spanish. As an all inclusive the staff made little effort to be accommodating. They were polite but in high end hospitality, you need to know how to make things happen. This is what makes the Four Seasons great. Staff was often time uninformed or confused, even with the simple task of checking in for a dinner reservation. Finally, check your bill closely when you check out. They tried to charge me $300 for a bottle of wine I never had.

Review:   The best resort!! Five stars experience. The resort was so clean, amazing view, the service was top notched!! Cannot rave enough how nice the hotel was. The food was amazing as well.

Review:   Concierge as well as service at the pool was excellent. The service at the steak / seafood as well as the Mexican restaurant were challenged. The group almost got up and left the Mexican restaurant to order room service. The steak / seafood was better than the Mexican; however, it was also slow as well as the well done steak for my wife and I was medium rare to medium and when recooked was medium well instead of well.
