New Zealand is a lush, verdant, gorgeous country and there's no better way to experience this beauty first hand than by zipping through the forest tree tops. The location of this zipline tour is spectacular. As one of the only un-logged forests in Tauranga, you can be certain your day will be the perfect combination of nature and adventure. It all begins with a pickup right at the cruise ship pier or your central Tauranga hotel. En route to the zipline, your knowledgeable, local guide will inform you about Tauranga's geography, history, culture and wildlife. There will be a stop to admire gorgeous beaches and fascinating volcanoes before the adventure begins. Upon arrival at the zipline location, it will be clear to you this company provides only the best, from their experienced guides to the finest safety equipment to their conservation efforts to return the forest to its original splendor. You will be fitted with the required equipment, including rain gear if needed. Yes, this tour operates rain or shine. As a matter of fact, many people find the forest even more vibrant when viewed during a spring rain. After your guides have provided instructions and made sure you are comfortable, let the zipping commence! As you make your way through 6 ziplines, swingbridges and treetop platforms up to 72 feet high, you will feel you have been transported to another world. Take a moment and listen to the sounds of the forest. You just might hear (and see) the Long Tailed Cuckoo, the Bush Parrot, the New Zealand Woodpigeon or the Tui, all of these species calling this forest home. Whether you're zipping down the highest, longest zipline at a height of 721 feet long and 72 feet high or enjoying the view from the 164 foot long suspended swingbridge, you will have the time of your life. And your guide will be there the whole time, clipping on and off of the all safety systems, ensuring a fantastic experience for young and old alike.
