Coyoacan, The Blue House, And University CityExplore > Mexico > Mexico City > Coyoacan, The Blue House, And University CityOverviewArt in all it's forms. Mexico City is huge and best explored by neighborhood. This 'south side' exploration will bring you to some of it's best treasures. En route to our destination we will visit University City, a UNESCO World Heritage Site renowned for it's architecture and murals painted by some of the cities most famous artists including Diego Rivera and David Alfaro Siqueiros. Coyoacan is a local favorite hang out. This is the perfect place to people watch, and the perfect place to indulge in an afternoon coffee with perhaps the best churro in the city. Just ask your guide, he'll know where to take you. Take time to explore the Bazaar where you will get an introduction to street food. If you're feeling brave try grasshoppers - a favorite snack! We'll also be sure to visit Frida Kahlo's Blue House, her birthplace and now a museum. Frida Kahlo is known for her paintings of herself, saying "I paint myself because I am the subject I know best". This is your opportunity to learn more about Frida and her persona. You'll also visit the Casa Estudio Diego Rivera, Frida's lover, and another notable artist. - If you are visiting on a Saturday it is highly suggested you begin with a visit to the Saturday market. This may take time away from other stops. - Entrance fees are not included in the tour cost. - Entrance to the Blue House costs approximately 400 pesos per person. Your guide will pre-reserve entrance, though you will need to pay him on the day of the tour. - The Blue House is closed on Mondays. If you are visiting on a Monday, then an alternative suggestion will be made. Days offered: 7 days a week Departures:
