OverviewThis tour provides a great overview of this bustling city. See Chicago in style with a luxury vehicle and a fabulous guide! The list of things to do and see in Chicago is endless, but your knowledgeable local guide will provide a wonderful sampling of the Windy City and provide some insight on how to spend the rest of your time here. Known as the birthplace of the skyscraper, Chicago's "Loop" is a great place to begin this tour. With famous buildings such as the Willis Tower, Tribune Tower and the Chicago Water Tower, you'll soon discover that Chicago's reputation for striking and innovative architecture is well-deserved. And no visit to downtown would be complete without a stop at Millennium Park to marvel at the famous sculpture Cloud Gate, affectionately known as "The Bean". From downtown's commercial buildings to the grand residences along the Gold Coast, Chicago's spectacular architecture continues. Many of these 19th century mansions have been re-purposed as cultural institutions, allowing them to retain their original architectural features and beauty. We'll explore the West Loop, a former warehouse district that has blossomed into loft apartments and trendy art galleries. We'll visit Greek Town and Randolph Street, known as "Restaurant Row". Chicago is known for its ethnic neighborhoods and we'll visit Bronzeville, one of the country's most significant African-American communities. This area has played a significant role in civil rights and cultural and social advances. Make sure your guide shows you the former home of Barack Obama in the nearby Kenwood neighborhood. Lastly, we'll drive through the South Loop neighborhood, perhaps one of Chicago's favorite areas for locals and visitors alike. Contained within is the Museum Campus, where you'll find the Field Museum, the Adler Planetarium and the Shedd Aquarium, all worthy of your time. Soldier Field, home to the Chicago Bears professional football team and McCormick Place, the largest convention center in the country, round out the attractions. - This tour is a combination of driving and walking, so please dress for the weather and wear comfortable shoes. - Your guide has you covered!
