Overview

Set on an enchanting private island in the pristine Lhaviyani Atoll in the Maldives, Hurawalhi Island Resort is much like your relationship: it is a perfect match of serenity and excitement, comfort and adventure; it stirs up your every atom with an intricate blend of intimacy and thrill.

It is at Hurawalhi that you can fill your days with an unsparing amount of extraordinaires, your mind with wonder, and your heart with romance. The 90-villa, adults-only luxury resort is as brilliant as the ocean that laps against its beaches and more magnificent than any island you have visited. You can swoon over photos of the Maldives, but nothing will prepare you for the beautiful blend of barefoot bliss and contemporary design found at Hurawalhi.

Google Reviews

About Google Reviews: recently Google has converted their review system to require reviewers to have a proper, identifiable Google+ profile. This is a good thing, as it tends to cut down on bad reviews, both from people unwilling to stand behind their comments and fake positive reviews from the businesses themselves. Old, pre-Google+ reviews are still in the system, and will appear below as written by "A Google User". More info from Google is here.

Review:   Our stay at Hurawalhi was perfect in every way! The resort itself - from the Ocean Villa w/ infinity swimming pool to each and one of the amazing public facilities - is brand new, superbly maintained and features best-of-breed construction, furnishing, equipment and accessories. It has all the modern conveniences but pulls it off while seamlessly blending into the surrounding nature. The food in each and every one of the restaurants is both delicious and visually impressive - the finest local and international cuisine. We had the "all inclusive" plan and truly we did not go hungry for even a moment. The variety of attractions and available experiences turned an otherwise "passive" destination into one where you can do something new every day and never get bored. We loved the interesting dining options (dream island, beach dinner, 5.8), local island tours, snorkeling and dolphin cruise. Finally, the service was impeccable, and the staff charming and personable. Highly recommended!

Review:   As getting to the island required travel by seaplane, due to both nightime flight restrictions and hazardous weather, it is advised one takes the appropriate planning in regards to acquiring flight reservations that coincide with the the seaplane transfer schedule based on the above factors. the hotel is relatively new and the island is wholly surrounded by corals and an abundance of sealife which makes for a great diving and snorkeling experience. The staff were very kind to volunteer to accompany me to the snorkeling sites; this was an unexpected but welcome surprise that exceeded my expectations. Upon arrival, one is greeted with a traditional welcome. Rooms are simple but comfortable in the view is incredible, one could get lost simply by taking in the sheer beauty of the view from the balcony. Food at the hotel is also delicious and dining is never dull as the food offerings are different every meal.

Review:   We didn't think that Hurawalhi could get any better, but, as we discovered on our second visit eight months later, it most definitely did! The AIP has been improved by the inclusion of signature cocktails, two meals at Aquarium restaurant, and the buffet has an even larger variety of foods - including a vegan section. The service was just as impeccable as previously, the staff just as friendly and welcoming. A special mention to the chefs, who went out of their way to prepare special food for us. We also enjoyed cocktail classes with Dennis, and a great wine tasting experience with Retheesh. The villas have also been improved, with snorkeling gear provided, and a bottle of champagne and fruit basket waiting on arrival. The departure process is also much easier, with guests now accommodated (with drinks and snacks) at the Hurawalhi lounge instead of having to wait at the Male airport. The only improvement we can suggest is to provide guests with the option of harder mattresses and pillows, as the current ones are a bit on the soft side. Will we be back for a third visit? Most definitely!

Review:   We have a wonderful 4 nights stay. The staff is helpful and so friendly. The food is excellent. I highly recommend the manta Ray snorkeling experience we "danced" with five of those huge gentle creatures for an hour. Here are some photos:
