Market To Stove To Table, Authentic Cambodian Culinary ExperienceExplore > Cambodia > Siem Reap > Market To Stove To Table, Authentic Cambodian Culinary Experience
OverviewIt is with great pleasure that we offer this unique introduction into Cambodian cuisine and culture. This isn't just a tour. It's an actual, authentic cultural experience. You can book this tour with confidence, knowing all of our hosts are thoroughly vetted before receiving permission to welcome guests into their homes. What a difference 15 minutes can make. Just a short drive from the bustling city of Siem Reap, another world awaits. In a small village in the Cambodian countryside, the local market is bursting with freshness. Your guide will assist with the selection of ingredients required for traditional Khmer cuisine. Entering the village you'll find traditional ways and warm, welcoming people. Suddenly it dawns on you that this is not a typical cooking class in a gleaming stainless steel kitchen. No, this is authentic. In an outdoor kitchen surrounded by rice paddies, your guide and translator will introduce the best chef in the village. Luckily for you, she will also be your instructor in the time-honored ways of Cambodian countryside cuisine. As the chef guides the cooking, she will share culinary secrets and customs as your fresh market finds are transformed into classic dishes, well-loved by this culture for centuries. Although the menu may vary, you can be sure every bite will be delicious, whether it's spring rolls, banana blossom soup, amok chicken or fish or pumpkin custard. - Your meal, as well as two domestic beers per person are included in the tour cost. - Please alert ShoreTrips in advance of any dietary restrictions or food allergies. We will do our best to accommodate. - This tour requires a minimum of 2 participants and can accommodate a maximum of 6 participants. - The minimum age for alcohol consumption is 18 years old.
