Beer is such a fun beverage. It brings people together, promotes comradierie, and sometimes, provides a warm buzz.
The Icelandic people are a warm, friendly people, as evidenced by their beer. You just can't be unhappy when you're hoisting a frosty mug of suds in this land of ice and snow. Although they haven't been producing beer for as long as other countries (beer was once banned in Iceland), what they lack in years they more than make up for in enthusiasm and gusto.
As in many places the world over, Iceland has joined the craft brewing movement, with recipes unique to the area. Your local guide and Bjór elskhugi (beer lover) will escort you to the finest purveyors of ales, porter and stouts in town. While sampling 10 different Icelandic brews, you will hear about the history of brewing in Iceland (including that dark period when the brew was banned) and other fascinating beer facts. Bottoms up!

- You may either walk or take a taxi from the cruise pier, the walk is about 30 minutes. More information will be on your voucher.
- The legal drinking age in Iceland is 20 years old. No one under 20 will be allowed on this tour.
