Overview
You can actually taste the history.
With the guidance of a local whose an expert on the history of Australia, Sydney's Rocks neighborhood, and most importantly, Australian beer, we're certain this will be a memorable evening spent learning, and also imbibing. Our journey will take you to the most historic pubs in the Rocks neighborhood.
Beginning with the Mercantile Hotel, Australia's Longest Running Irish Pub, you will get a choice of Australian beer, cider, or wine at each of our stops. Of course, your guide will help you with his insight to each pub's specialty.
Before the sun sets, it's time for dinner at the Australian. A local favorite eatery where you can keep it safe with a pizza, or perhaps try kangaroo or crocodile. Up next are a visit to Sydney's Oldest Brewery, followed by a visit to Sydney's Oldest Pub. Lucky for you we have exclusive access to the pub basement, which is not open to the public. Here you will see the original convict prison and smugglers tunnel used by Shanghaiing sailors. This is a history lesson you will remember!
