Overview
See the unbelievable northern coast of mountains and waterfalls.
When you land by commercial jet in Iceland, you wonder where you are. It could be the moon as the terrain is flat with little vegetation. As the clouds clear, you may see mountains in the distance - in just about every direction. These are the highlights of the area and the easiest and most effective way to see them is by air.
With brand-new planes, our Land Rovers of the sky will take you around the entire peninsula. The incredible mountains and glaciers are your focus. One highlight is the mountain Esja, situated in the south-west of Iceland, about 10 km to the north of Iceland's capital city Reykjavík. Esja is not a single mountain, but a volcanic mountain range, made from basalt and tuff. From above its strength is magical as it softly imposes itself on Reykjavik. You can imagine when the Reykjanes lava was moving down the range while the entire peninsula shook from the explosion, but in the end these mountains were left untouched.
Up close you can see the glaciers as you fly over Mt. Esja, the mountain Botnsulur and Moskardshnjukar, referred to as outdoor heaven. And the special treat is a view of the famous Glymur waterfall, the tallest of many waterfalls in Iceland. It is a delicate beauty falling 656 feet of lacey water.
The comfort of your flying machine and a great pilot makes this even more memorable combined with a view you will not forget.
