Google Reviews

About Google Reviews: recently Google has converted their review system to require reviewers to have a proper, identifiable Google+ profile. This is a good thing, as it tends to cut down on bad reviews, both from people unwilling to stand behind their comments and fake positive reviews from the businesses themselves. Old, pre-Google+ reviews are still in the system, and will appear below as written by "A Google User". More info from Google is here.

Review:   The Tahiti Pearl Beach Resort near Papeete is the best place we stay while in French Polynesia. We choose this hotel because of the black beach. We had never seen one and really thought it might ne special. We were right, but the hotel proved even better than we expected. The nightly entertainment was fabulous.

Review:   We arrived at 2 pm on 5/4/18...checked in to our day room as this was our transition stop before our flight home...our room 3306 was a 1 BR suite with huge balcony area...the bedroom had two full size (not queen beds) which I thought was odd...overall the room was dated and in need of an upgrade as furniture worn...the deck offered a nice view if you ignore the roof type weeds and worn roof planks...while there appears to be construction and areas under repair, the work appears to be piecemeal...the entire pool area is in dire need of repairs and upgrade...We thought the exercise classes in the pool during prime swim time was odd and an inconvenience...I will note the black sand beaches are great for view but not for swimming (too rough) during our visit...the food and service is very good...the hotel is situated far enough from downtown to relax and enjoy the scenery

Review:   Great room and beautiful views. Our room had a Jacuzzi tub that was nice. Enjoyed playing inbthe infinity pool. Near the pool is a gate to walk out onto the beach then you can walk along the beach or go swimming invthe ocean.

Review:   Four Star hotel with updated rooms and toilets which are great. The public areas look a bit tired.
