Google Reviews

About Google Reviews: recently Google has converted their review system to require reviewers to have a proper, identifiable Google+ profile. This is a good thing, as it tends to cut down on bad reviews, both from people unwilling to stand behind their comments and fake positive reviews from the businesses themselves. Old, pre-Google+ reviews are still in the system, and will appear below as written by "A Google User". More info from Google is here.

Review:   Great room and beautiful views. Our room had a Jacuzzi tub that was nice. Enjoyed playing inbthe infinity pool. Near the pool is a gate to walk out onto the beach then you can walk along the beach or go swimming invthe ocean.

Review:   Four Star hotel with updated rooms and toilets which are great. The public areas look a bit tired.

Review:   I have never checked out of a place before even staying one night....it is a shame for a brand that we thought we could trust. This is the former RADISSON and Pearl Beach has had TWO YEARS to bring it up to standard and have failed to do so here....so lacking is the management oversight that they haven't even changed the info card to their brand...just slapped a sticker over the Radisson logo. For $380 a night you get: an UNCLEAN room that has an opened, used bar of soap left for you on the sink, a dirty shower door, dingy, scuffed up furniture, walls with cracked plaster, torn DIRTY curtains, and a view of Moreea with the patched roof of the restaurant in the foreground. The bedsheets were questionable as to if they were fresh or not. The service of said restaurant is dreadful due again to mismanagement. On a busy holiday the restaurant is staffed with TWO very grumpy, overworked waitresses, one of whom is doubling as the bartender, both of whom slam chairs and tableware around and only acknowledge your presence (but don't seat you) after you've stood there for ten minutes. Upon departing the restaurant, one can observe that the pool area is clearly open and available to local beachcombers to stroll right on in to the resort's property to use the pool...which makes you wonder just how secure your rental car or the belongings in your room really are! And then, when going to speak to management, you find that there is no on site manager, in the middle of the day, and you have to wait for the trainee to pass you off to the more experienced front desk agent. At least he was sympathetic. We left to Le Meridien. Left a forwarding number and email address to the manager to follow up on our concerns. Not. One. Word. Thankfully we booked this leg of the trip on Expedia and Expedia, NOT Pearl Beach, refunded our money. Shame on you, Pearl Beach. Live up to the standards you set in Bora Bora and Taha'a.

Review:   The Pearl Beach Hotel is located on a black sand bay some 30 minutes drive from Tahiti Airport. The room that I had, had an ocean view. As my room faced the Pacific Ocean, the sound of the roaring waves could still be heard even when the balcony windows were closed. Wifi was slow. The restaurant was very nice but a little expensive
