Overview

All around Gran Canaria!

See all that the province of Gran Canaria has to offer during this adventurous full-day island tour. Departing from the bustling capital of Las Palmas, head first to the holy pilgrimage site of Teror this is an opportunity to learn about the history and life on this island of some mystery. Your experience will begin with a visit to the Valle de San Nicolas de Tolentino. Without realizing it you have crossed the island!

A tour through the municipality of La Aldea de San Nicolás, another name for this town, will give you a chance to appreciate the popular Canarian architecture in the old quarter such as the houses of stone and mud from the 17th and 18th centuries, and the houses with balconies from the 18th century. Examples of these are the Casa del Balcón, the first house in the town centre, Casas Blancas and the Casa del Corredor, which is in the Tocodomán quarter.

Mogán is another of the tourist municipalies which receives the most visitors. It is situated 93 kilometres from the capital, Las Palmas de Gran Canaria and also delivers great views and a lovely relaxed atmosphere. Now a drive into the heartland of the Gran Canaria island, where the rolling hills are dotted with charming little villages, ravines, reservoirs and forests of palm trees. It is picture perfect. You are heading up to the summit of Pico de Las Nieves, which is the highest peak at nearly 2,000 meters.

And now, moving towards a more down to earth reality, we head for the agricultural town of Valleseco, Valleseco with its rich natural surroundings. This is where you will enjoy your much deserved lunch, one that is typical of Gran Canaria. Satiated you can now continue to the path of flowers, officially called Camino de las Flores and on to the charming and much talked about town of Teror. Time for some walking here as you see the colonial style old town and its basilica.

It was a whirlwind day but it will all sink in as you return where you started. You have almost circumnavigated around this lovely island and enjoy all its fruits.
