Overview

The best of the Bay of Islands!

New Zealand is known for it's 'jaw droppingly' beautiful landscape and the Bay of Islands is the 'crème de la crème' of all New Zealand has to offer. Turquoise waters surrounded by lush green landscape, this is truly one of the most scenic locations on the planet. Beyond the scenery, the Bay of Islands is a place of enormous historical significance, as this was the birthplace of European colonization in New Zealand.

Our day will bring you around the area and will introduce you to some of the most popular natural attractions as well as provide an interesting history lesson. Our first stop will be to the Puketi Kauri Forest where we will enjoy a short nature hike. Next up is a visit to the Kawiti Glow Worm Caves, so named as this rock formation is home to thousands of glow worms.

Continuing on we will make numerous photo stops as well as visit some of the area's historical attractions such as the Kerikeri Stone Store and the Kerikeri Mission House.

- Entrance to the Kawiti Glow Worm Caves are included in this program.
- This is an active tour. Be sure to wear appropriate footwear.

- Due to time constraints you may not be able to visit all locations on the itinerary. Each stop is based on your pace as well as conditions of the day. You will spend the most time at Puketi Kauri Forest and the Kawiti Glow Worm Caves. If one of the other locations is a 'must' for you, be sure to communicate that to your guide.
