A combination of culture and natural wonders!

New Zealand's diverse landscapes and cultures make it a bucket list visit for many and no trip here is complete until you visit Tauranga. Surrounded by geysers, warm springs, and boiling mud pools the land here is full of natural treasures begging to be experienced. We've combined these natural wonders with a visit to a Maori village to make for a truly authentic New Zealand experience unlike any other.

We're headed to Roturua and will make several photo stops along the way. The first is at Mt. Maunganui, an extinct volcano surrounded by turquoise waters and white sandy beaches. Continuing on we will pass through Kiwi Country, making a quick stop for you to enjoy New Zealand's famous kiwifruit. Our last stop before arriving in Roturua will be at Okere Falls.

Get ready to appreciate local culture as we head to the Whakawerawera Village. You will be escorted by a member of the Maori village and will learn all about the importance of the geothermal activity, rich in this area, to their everyday life. Surrounded by natural geysers this will be a truly memorable experience, as well as a cultural immersion!

Before returning to the cruise ship, enjoy a tour of Rotorua city. We'll see the magnificent Government Gardens with Rachel's pool, an alkaline hot spring, as well as the historic bath house and Polynesian Spa.
