Phillip Island And The Penguin ParadeExplore > Australia > Melbourne > Phillip Island And The Penguin ParadeOverviewYou want to see some penguins? We'll show you some penguins. Australia is home to some of the world's most unique-looking (and cutest) animals. This tour highlights little waddling penguins, curious, cuddly koalas, adorable wallabies, all in their natural habitat. If you can see penguins, seals, and koalas wandering around your hometown, then this tour isn't for you. If you are like most of us and have only seen these creatures on Animal Planet, then we recommend you sign up for this ASAP. Rocky shorelines will pave the way as you approach Phillip Island and the natural wonders that it has to offer. At the iconic Koala Conservation Center, you will explore the treeline through a series of boardwalks that provide a glimpse into the habitat of Koalas. This Eucalypt woodland has been a key player in the conservation of the Koala population around Phillip Island and is highly regarded in the world of ecotourism. Opportunities for "face to face" run-ins with Koalas are around every turn and a nearby natural bush walk could have you come across other wildlife such as Wallabies, Possums, and Echidnas. Once you've had enough of the koalas (not possible), your guide will give you some options to personalize your day. Surfing buffs might want to head to dramatic coastal scenery of Cape Woolamai. Perhaps you'd rather stop at one of the area's fine wineries to taste their best varietals. Maybe you prefer to spend your time bird watching or visit Seal Rocks at the Nobbies for a coastal view of the second largest Australian Fur Seal Colony. As sunset approaches, the biggest draw of this tour is about to take place. That's when the Little Penguins come out and make their triumphant return to Summerland Beach. Brace yourself as they waddle right past you and up to their burrows in an event that you have only ever seen on TV. Your guide will take you to an exclusive raised platform away from the crowds to truly admire this unique performance. A memorable 2-course dinner with local products will round out your day before heading back to the cruise pier. - The price of this tour includes all entrance fees and a 2-course dinner with a beverage. - Wine tastings and any other purchases are not included in the price of this tour. - The Penguin Parade takes place outdoors at dusk.
