Overview
This journey into Montenegro's past makes for a great day.
Montenegro is a small, but majestic nation. With a rich history and panoramic views throughout, a visit here is sure to delight even the most weary traveler.
After a meet and greet at the pier with a local guide, we'll begin with a scenic drive to Stari Bar or the Old City. Situated on the European divide of East and West, a walking tour of the Old Town will provide a glimpse into this small nation's turbulent and fascinating past.
Cobbled streets and ancient ruins will take you back in time to a flourishing village of the ruling Roman Emperor. We will tour inside the Venetian Palace, along with St. John Orthodox Church.
Now that we have worked up an appetite, it is time for lunch in true Montenegrin style. Lunch will consist of homemade cheese and olives, meatballs with onions, and a tasting of traditional wine and coffee.
Before returning to the port, we will stop at the oldest olive tree in Montenegro. Remember to bring your camera along, you'll want to capture this.
