Overview
Glaciers, catch them while you can!
This nature-fueled adventure begins with a 60-minute boat journey through North America's deepest fjord. Anytime you hear the word "fjord," you have to realize that you are about to experience some pretty amazing views. Keep your eyes open for whales, seals, cascading waterfalls, and the towering mountains around you. A naturalist guide on board the boat will give you the rundown on everything you pass and provide priceless insight on this famous environment.
Your boat will arrive at Glacier Point Beach, where you will meet your vehicle for an adventurous drive through the forested glacial moraines to a canoeing base camp. Here, you will grab some rubber boots and a life jacket before taking a 1/4 mile walk through the forest to an opening, providing breathtaking views of Davidson Glacier. Your new vessel will be a 31-foot voyager canoe for a trip around the pristine lake at the foot of this mammoth mass of ice. Your canoeing guide will provide detailed narration on the area as you get up close and personal with Davidson.
After returning to the base camp, you will enjoy a picnic lunch before finally returning to Skagway, once again passing through those beautiful things we call fjords. A once-in-a-lifetime experience!
