Overview
Prepare to be charmed.
Of all the cities in Canada, it is hard to find one as unique and with as much flair as Montreal. With lively festivals, historic streets, incredible cuisine, and an international mixture of cultures, this French-Candian city has come together as both a fascinating and creative community. Your local guide will take you around on a half-day tour, pointing out the best and most charming aspects of Montreal.
Mount Royal is the crown jewel of the city's many beautiful parks and is home to the highest point in the entire city. At the top of the park is St. Joseph's Oratory, which has become an iconic attraction for Montreal visitors. Organ concerts and music recitals, coupled with amazing views over the city, provide the perfect spot for summer relaxation. Other locations like the Chalet and Camilien Houde lookouts add to the appeal of the park, which is a favorite spot for locals.
At the Olympic Village, you will see the twin-towered building provided to the athletes for the 1976 summer Olympics. The Olympic Park was home to this building, as well as the Olympic Stadium, Olympic Pool, Olympic Velodrome, Montreal Botanical Gardens, Maurice Richard Arena, and the Centre Pierre Charbonneau. The host country of Canada finished with five silver and six bronze medals.
Once in the city center, you will visit places like the International Trade Center before arriving into the old city and old port. Cobblestone streets, surrounded by buildings from the 17th to 19th centuries, showcase the city's charming European history. Three metro stations serve this unique area of Montreal, separate from the rest of the city. It will feel as though you are in a different world!
