This is a fun way to see a wonderful area of Malta.
There are places in which to live it up and others where it seems like time stood still. In Malta you can enjoy life at its simplest one day and at its most cosmopolitan the next. However short your stay, it's possible to have a taste of island life in a variety of settings - from traditional villages to urban resorts.
With your excellent escort you will experience Malta in an unexpected way with your SUV. This panoramic journey through valleys and ridges will show you this island top to bottom. This tour will be a terrific break from the usual historical sightseeing as it highlights the terrain and the culture. The natural beauty of its incredible geological sites will surprise you and the quaint towns and coastal villages will be a source of interest as you feel the freedom in this journey.
Most know little of the history here and we will incorporate that into your visits along your route. You will stop in Mgarr, the Farmer's Village, which also has two prehistoric sites of worship. You will see Fomm Ir-Rih Bay, the most isolated and wildest beach on Malta but also one of the most beautiful ones. Just outside Mdina is the town of Rabat, which means a 'suburb' in Semitic, as it was once the suburb of Mdina, the old capital city.
As a natural feature along the coastline, you will see Dingli Cliffs, and they are the highest point of the Maltese Islands at around 253 metres above sea-level. They are a majestic sight, particularly if viewed from a boat while cruising, but also from the top - the views are breathtaking, overlooking the small terraced fields below, the open sea, and Filfla, the small uninhabited island just across. The cliffs can be seen as natural forts, since no attacker can approach the island from the West given their impressive height.
Siggiewi, also known as Città Ferdinand, is a village in the South West part of Malta and was already established in the 14th century. The town is built on a plateau 10km away from Valletta, and has a population of around 9000 people, who in the past were mostly farmers working in the agricultural areas that surround the village.
No trip to this region would be complete without a visit to the Blue Grotto. Weather permitting you may choose to take a boat trip which is sure to be a highlight of your vacation and a great way to end this trip.

- Please note that you will have to walk from the ship to the terminal exit to meet your guide, which may be difficult for individuals who have mobility issues. Private transportation is not permitted to enter near the ship.
