Oahu, Hawaii is considered one of the ultimate hiking paradises on earth. Perfect temperatures in the rainforest, refreshing trade winds and volcanic mountain ranges provide the ideal vibe. This rare hike provides an opportunity to explore 75-acres of sacred land that can only be accessed by your local guide.
Following your pickup you will head into the Manoa Valley rainforest to escape the crowded public trails. You will journey into the tropical vegetation of this classic Hawaiian wonderland, with a 200-foot private waterfall as your final destination. Along the way you can expect to encounter calming streams, tempting water pools and picturesque rock terrace lookouts.
Your guide will provide you with some light snacks, bottled water and provide commentary on the many tropical plants, flowers and trees that you will come across on the hike.
- Please wear clothing, socks and close-toed shoes that are appropriate for hiking. We recommend you bring a rain jacket. Rain ponchos will be available if necessary as this tour operates rain or shine.
- Please note that this tour does not pick up from all hotels. If we are not able to pick up at the hotel you are staying at, a nearby pick up location will be provided. Specific meeting instructions will be provided upon confirmation. If you have questions, contact ShoreTrips.
- This hike is mild to moderate over a dirt trail with rocks and roots. Trail can be muddy and slippery when wet. Hiking time is approximately 1.5 hours and covers 2 miles round trip.
- Depending on the conditions of the day the waterfall hike may be to a windward waterfall.
