Brisbane City Sights And Lone Pine Koala SanctuaryExplore > Australia > Brisbane > Brisbane City Sights And Lone Pine Koala SanctuaryOverviewThe best of Brisbane! The capital of Queensland is starting to pick up some steam and slowly but surely is starting to challenge the likes of Melbourne and Sydney for accolades. With an interesting past built by criminals, Brisbane stands as Australia's third largest city and boasts access to the best array of attractions on the eastern coast. Your tour starts with an overview of the city highlights, beginning in Fortitude Valley. This fascinating neighborhood is full of contemporary buildings standing next to heritage-listed properties that reflect on the culture of meshing the new with the old. From Europe to Asia, there is a bit of everything here for your fashion and food tastes. At "The Gabba," you will see the epicenter of all things sport in Brisbane. This stadium, with a capacity of 42,000, is home to the local cricket and Aussie Rules Football team, while also hosting a variety of events for local entertainment. A photo stop at Kangaroo Point provides the best views of the city and the Brisbane River. After a view from above, your guide will drop you off for a relaxing 1.5 hour river cruise through the heart of the city. Commentary and morning tea will be provided along the way as you journey through the waterway that serves as the pulse of the city. Meeting you at the end of the cruise, you will then be taken to the Soutbank Parklands, which uses the beauty of the river perfectly as it continues to stand out as a premier cultural destination. Grab a bite to eat at one of the many nearby eateries or poke through one of the many nearby boutique stores. Your final stop will be at the famous Lone Pine Koala Sanctuary for a chance to meet and greet some of Australia's unique mammals. There are over 130 koalas who call this zoo home, so they will be hard to miss! Hand-feed the kangaroos or take a gander at the elusive platypus. Either way, this is bound to be an unforgettable experience! - The morning river cruise and entrance to the Lone Pine Koala Sanctuary are included in the price of this tour. - You will have time for lunch at the Southbank Parklands. Lunch is not included in the price. - Your guide will not join you on the river cruise or within the Lone Pine Koala Sanctuary. Days offered: 7 days a week Departures:
