Google Reviews

About Google Reviews: recently Google has converted their review system to require reviewers to have a proper, identifiable Google+ profile. This is a good thing, as it tends to cut down on bad reviews, both from people unwilling to stand behind their comments and fake positive reviews from the businesses themselves. Old, pre-Google+ reviews are still in the system, and will appear below as written by "A Google User". More info from Google is here.

Review:   This place was fabulous and a great place to end out trip. We had a Luau party which included libations, body painting, Hawaiian dances, rituals, finished with a show, fire dance and pig roast. What a beautiful time we had stay which we thoroughly enjoyed, the hotel staff was great, the rooms clean and our room views were off the chart. The cast and entertainers were wonderful and mixed with us after the show and the pig roast was delicious. It was hard to say goodbye, but we have taken fantastic memories and pictures with us.

Review:   Our stay at this hotel was amazing mostly due to the customer service and the location of the hotel. We thoroughly enjoyed the proximity to the beach, not to mention this beach is not crowded like other beaches on Kaua’i. I do agree the hotel needs renovations since I did notice the wood furniture was banged up and we always had trouble with our key cards having to insert them 3 or 4 times before they finally worked. There was also a funky smell in the room but who cares! We still enjoyed ourselves. These are only minor issues that did not bother us but I do want to be honest. Gloria was our waitress on several occasions for breakfast at the restaurant and we loved her! She even shed a tear for us when we said our goodbyes to her. I would come back to stay at this hotel just to see her again.

Review:   The location is fantastic and fairly friendly staff. My concern is having to $25 a day for a, “destination fee”. When I asked what the destination fee was for I was told parking, the two complimentary drinks and yoga in the morning. We had two room reserved one for the grown up and one for the kids. None of us drink alcohol and we didn’t do the yoga. We were charged the $25 a day to park multiplied by two rooms was $50 a day for five days. Shame on you Marriott.

Review:   The rooms were nice, the grounds were nice, everything was clean, and the food was tasty. The staff were all very friendly, helpful, and accommodating. We had only booked a room for 3 nights because we were planning on backpacking the Kalalau trail for 4, but due to trail closures we only ended up backpacking for 2 days and camping 1 night. Once we reached a place with cell service I called and was able to get a room for us for the nights we needed. They were all super helpful, and stored our luggage during our time on the trail. Would definitely stay there again!

Review:   Got a great room here steps to the beach. The grounds were nice and well kept. The one lounge area was great. Good drinks and food and often had live music. The staff was friendly and attentive. The parking lot was easy to get in and out of. The concierge helped us get an excursion set up and also provided good information about the island and how much we could see in a day.
