Google Reviews

About Google Reviews: recently Google has converted their review system to require reviewers to have a proper, identifiable Google+ profile. This is a good thing, as it tends to cut down on bad reviews, both from people unwilling to stand behind their comments and fake positive reviews from the businesses themselves. Old, pre-Google+ reviews are still in the system, and will appear below as written by "A Google User". More info from Google is here.

Review:   This place is absolutely wonderful. Surprisingly, I would argue this place has the best Mai Tai's on the island. Pool area is nice and clean, beach access is superb and relaxing. The rooms are clean and the ocean at night is so relaxing and nice. To top if off everyone that stays here seems to have a relaxing vibe that makes you not want to leave.

Review:   This is a really nice hotel, and in some ways, flat out gorgeous! Being in Hawaii, the front desk is open-air - there are no front doors. The bar and restaurant are also open-air. Pros: Everything is clean, staff is super friendly, and there is AC! Not all hotels have it. Cons: Bathrooms are super small. You have to hunt for wall plugs behind the bed. It has a $25-a-day resort fee, which sucks, but all the hotels do that. BTW, there is a Walmart a half-hour away, not far from the airport.

Review:   The Hotel needs some serious update for the prices that they charge. And they could be more friendly and helpful to all of their guests. And we booked a package vacation. So when we checked in the person asked for our credit card for a charge of $350 hold for any incidentals. And we received a resort bill for each day of our stay. Seriously. If we ever go back to Kauai we will not stay at this Hotel. And the beachfront is great for looking but you can't swim on this beach. That's sad. The luau is in a tent and they charge for it. We went to another luau.

Review:   Our stay here was a mixed bag. It's in a great location, not far from the airport, and is an aesthetically pleasing hotel next to the ocean. The beach isn't really swimmable but it is still pretty. The pool is nice as well as the nearby bar. Didn't try the restaurant, but many people came and went there so it must be good. The staff is friendly and if it wasn't for a few issues I would have given it a five star rating. The issue I had is that in my room, the carpet was damp and the air humid. It feels like evaporative cooling but the front desk assured me it wasn't. They did give me a humidifier to use which was nice. Also, the parking isn't free. Other than that it was a nice stay.

Review:   The location was really nice for an accommodation after flying into Lihue late and being close to several dining options. We were not happy with the cleanliness of the room, the comfort (couldn't get it cool enough or dry enough and we are from a much more humid part of the world), or the upkeep of the decor in our room. Hopefully we just got unlucky but our room had melted/burned carpet and the shower was extremely slow draining. The employees were super nice with much aloha. The grounds seemed really nice and, again, it is in a very convenient location.
