Google Reviews

About Google Reviews: recently Google has converted their review system to require reviewers to have a proper, identifiable Google+ profile. This is a good thing, as it tends to cut down on bad reviews, both from people unwilling to stand behind their comments and fake positive reviews from the businesses themselves. Old, pre-Google+ reviews are still in the system, and will appear below as written by "A Google User". More info from Google is here.

Review:   The highlight was the Buffet Breakfast, and the service from the staff in the restaurant & service during check-in. I have no doubt the higher-end rooms are most likely 5 star, but our "Superior King Room" was average at best. I've stayed in larger, better appointed rooms for a lot less. The room itself was very small. Room for the bed, TV & table and not much else. Tiles were chipped in the shower recess entry, the glass shower door itself wouldn't close properly, and there was mould present in the shower. Some of the items in the Mini-bar were passed their expiry date. Television reception was very ordinary across both free-to-air & Foxtel channels. I've arrived home, and have since discovered that I've also been charged twice for parking/room service I received during my stay, And also found a $12 charge for Mini bar usage, when I didn't actually use anything! This has now been reversed, but it's not the point. I was asked during check-out if I'd used anything from the Mini-bar. I said no, and I've still been charged $12 for something! Safe to say, I won't be returning.

Review:   Hotel is modern and located close to everything. Staff were attentive and great with family's. On arrival they gave the kids Kinder surprises and colouring books so they were happy. Pool is a little small and can get busy. The buffet breakfast was great but super popular so expect a 10 mins wait for a table (we stayed on a long weekend). Overall great hotel, would recommend 👍👍👍👍👍

Review:   Loved it, didn't want to leave. My standards a high, I worked in the Beverly Hills hotel for 5 years and other 5 star hotels in Los Angeles. This hotel is comparable to any hotel I have worked at, but the staff are what stood out more than anything. Professional, accommodating, friendly with 5 star attitudes. Can't wait to go back!! Whoever is hiring & training staff is doing an exceptional job.

Review:   I’ve stayed here before and enjoyed my stay, so I booked again. This time I was given a tiny corner room at the back of a hallway overlooking an emergency staircase. There were hairs on the bed, marks on the walls and the TV was so old and blurry you couldn’t see it properly. Housekeeping started on my floor at 6.30am, so I was woken up early. The rooms aren’t very soundproof at all, you can hear everything. After checking in at 11am and leaving until 4pm, my bag wasn’t taken to my room - I had to go to the concierge to get it and they didn’t have a record of my name so they had to search the bags. Room service was extremely expensive with an $8 delivery fee, and the food was cold. A real disappointment, despite paying for a standard king room, I was just put in their worst room on offer. Not the best when you’re travelling for work and always in Sydney. Won’t be back anytime soon.

Review:   Beautiful hotel situated between Darling Harbour and Chinatown. The rooms are beautiful, albeit a little on the small side, but the huge floor to ceiling windows with stunning views more than make up for the missing few square metres. The restaurant below is excellent, make sure you try the bread... Warm bread and butter at its best. The hotel is next to the ICC convention centre.
