Google Reviews

About Google Reviews: recently Google has converted their review system to require reviewers to have a proper, identifiable Google+ profile. This is a good thing, as it tends to cut down on bad reviews, both from people unwilling to stand behind their comments and fake positive reviews from the businesses themselves. Old, pre-Google+ reviews are still in the system, and will appear below as written by "A Google User". More info from Google is here.

Review:   If anyone is looking for great deals on hotels go to HotelRaven. com Booked a room on there and they had the best rates around... This hotel is very posh. The rooms are very well appointed. The Hotel staff is beyond welcoming and helpful. David the concierge and Brice the valet. Made our stay fantastic. I could not have been more pleased. The breakfast buffet offered so many good dishes. The hotel restaurant was a true treat. I recommend the scotch steak or lamb shank! This place was truly 5 stars.

Review:   Walls are paper thin. Was kept awake 2 out of the three nights I stayed. Shower wasn’t sealed properly therefore harbouring germs. First night couldn’t get hold of room service for 25 mins. After getting our room service they gave us an empty salt shaker. The lobby is very nice the pool and spa very nice the breakfast was good. The room was a let down as well as some of the service. Expected more.

Review:   Good venue for meetings and training. I didn't stay in one of the rooms overnight, but the place is full of marble, a guy in tails and a top hat out the front, a huge front desk, cherry wood paneling, brass fittings etc. so I expect it's fairly flash upstairs. The food was nice, the coffee was weak, the training rooms tended to get a bit warm.

Review:   Hotel is ok but not what you'd expect from one of this calibre. Walls must have been paper thin as you could clearly hear conversations through them, shower was mouldy and carpet was dirty in certain spots. They also offer a $10 per day food/drink credit if your room doesn't need to be made up but you have to specifically ask for the credit to be applied on checking out.
